SCANTEC combines Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) with traditional electromagnetic (EM) pipe locating methods on every project to deliver a thorough and accurate survey of underground utilities. Our team can detect water, gas, electrical, communication, and sewer lines as well as non-metallic objects such as PVC pipes and fiber optic cables before any digging or excavation begins.

GPR can also be used to detect and map a variety of buried features such as underground storage tanks (USTs), unmarked graves, and for soil boring clearance. With a wide range of GPR antennas available, we can adapt to the specific needs of your project—whether it involves shallow slab coring, trenching, or deep soil boring.

We utilize a range of GPR antennas to cover various depth requirements—whether it’s mapping conduits and post-tensioned cables embedded within concrete slabs or locating utility pipes buried beneath them.
